I guess my problem is the, and I am trying to be nice here, moronic comments who want to be doom and gloom. I swear some of you are akin to the idiot on the Howard Stern show who was mad that the Obama tax cuts didn't take effect today.
Obama may suck. There is a very good chance he will, but you know what, if you don't think things were pretty sucky now, I'd like to have what you're smoking. You don't get a record breaking low approval ranking when things are so good.
Simple logic, the ones who are ready to scream how terrible are 2 seconds after the election are the reason things don't get better no matter who is in there. When you're side wins, its candy and roses for everybody and things are great, when your side loses, its doom. Guess what, this is still the United States, and the same people who say we can't blame Bush for things being bad, already are blaming Obama for something bad that hasn't even happened yet. Hypocrisy is a terrible thing.
If McCain had shown the testicles he had previously shown, he would have been President. If he would have went postal on the stimulus bill, even if he did have to go in favor of it at the end but really torn some new buttholes to those responsible. he may have won. If he had picked a financial genius as his VP instead of someone that sounds like they should be at the Wise County school board meetings dontcha know, he may have won.
Obama has the element of change going for him. It may go bad, it may go good, honestly the idea of change right now is more appealing than anything. Will it happen, heck probably not because the government is so corrupt, it would take tons of changes to fix it (term limits for Congress being one)
Listen to McCain, as he said, at the end we are all Americans and we need to work together, not be on here biotching 10 seconds afterwards and saying how bad it is. When it gets bad, or worse due to him, then fine, but heck the guy isn't even the President yet, just the President elect, I'm sure Dubya can find another war to be in before he's even in office.
